Discover the Delta
It's less than three weeks to go until the London Seminar on "Delta Discoveries" following up on the fourth biennial Delta Workshop that was held in Cairo in March. If until then you want to brush up on your Delta archaeology, why not have a look at our special pop-up shop: you'll find Penelope Wilson's books on Sais, a whole range of articles by Joanne Rowland published in the Journal of Egyptian Archaeology on Quesna and Minufiyeh, and Patricia Spencer's edited volume on the Early Years of the EES, which has chapters on Naville and Petrie and their work in the Delta. Many of the titles are available at a special rate for the event!
Call for Sponsors: Quesna I
Continuing the EES' long involvement in the area is Joanne Rowland's forthcoming monograph, Quesna I: Investigations in the Ptolemaic-Roman Cemetery, 2006-2013, which is scheduled for publication later this summer. You can already pre-order your copy, but - even more importantly - you can also help us to make this publication happen with your sponsorship!
Donations of any size will be warmly welcomed. Anyone donating £50 or more will be thanked in the book itself and donors giving £300 or more will also receive a complimentary copy. If you would like to give, please click here (and check 'Unrestricted / general funds' and let us know in an email so the money goes to right "pot"), or download our sponsorship form for you to print out and return to the EES office, or alternatively contact our Finance Manager, Maria Idowu.
