The Society was sad to hear of the death of Prof. Gaballa Aly Gaballa, former Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Antiquities. Prof. Gaballa studied Egyptology in Liverpool under Prof. H.W. Fairman, and his loss will be felt deeply. We would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends.
