On the weekend of 22 and 23 October, the Society participated for the third time in the popular annual Bloomsbury Festival www.bloomsburyfestival.org.uk/ with an EES stall in the 'Children's Activity Tent' in Russell Square. Over 200 children took the opportunity to write their names in hieroglyphs, colour-in Egyptian scenes or 'dig' for antiquities (modern scarabs and pieces of broken (fake!) shabtis) in our sand pit. It was also a great chance for us to talk to both the children and their parents about the Society and the work we do in Egypt. Many thanks to Roo Mitcheson and Alice Williams who planned the activities and looked after the stall all weekend.
