As part of the 'Day of Archaeology' http://www.dayofarchaeology.com/ on Friday 29 July 2011 the Society's Vice-Chair, John J Johnston, wrote a description of his day at the EES, since we had a meeting of the Board of Trustees: www.dayofarchaeology.com/archaeology-–-it’s-not-just-about-digging/.
The 'Day of Archaeology' was associated with the Council for British Archaeology's 'Festival of British Archaeology' festival.britarch.ac.uk/ in which the EES also participated with open days at the London office, organised by Roo Mitcheson, during which Chris Naunton gave a talk on the Society to interested members of the public and Alice Williams described some of the important material in the EES Lucy Gura Archive.
