The UK’s leading Egyptological organisation, the Egypt Exploration Society, is looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised Finance & Business Manager to fill a key role within the team.
You will be an integral member of the London office staff, ensuring that the Society’s finances are administered efficiently, and that all related information is recorded accurately.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation with a rich history which has recently undergone a series of changes to prepare it for the challenges ahead. The successful candidate will be working within a friendly, passionate and energetic small team; they therefore must be a team player. They will enjoy a busy office environment and a varied and challenging working day, and will need to be numerate, with book-keeping skills. An undergraduate degree in Egyptology or archaeology or a relevant field is also highly desirable. You will, ideally, be familiar with accounting software such as Sage.

Terms of Employment
This is a full‐time post, based in the Society’s London Office. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Director and will be appointed on a fixed-term contract to run to 31 March 2017.
Start date: As soon as possible, not later than 4 January 2016.
Salary: £27,500 pa, payable by monthly instalments.
Notice period: One calendar month.
