In addition to its own longstanding expeditions, the Society will be supporting a variety of other missions, funded through the new grants process (a full announcement of the successful projects will appear here shortly), and further initiatives led by ‘early career researchers' through the Centenary Awards.
Despite this, the security situation at sites throughout Egypt remains of very great concern, to the extent that almost any fieldwork should now be considered rescue archaeology.
