Egypt Exploration Society Grants for Conference Attendance: CRE XV

This year the Egypt Exploration Society will, once again, support early career Egyptologists by offering travel grants to assist attendance to the fifteenth Current Research in Egyptology conference. This international event will be held at both UCL and KCL from the 9th – 12th April 2014. The EES grants allow Egyptology students and independent researchers around the world the opportunity to journey to London for the purpose of attending the event and sharing their current research projects focusing on the conference theme ‘Egypt in a Global World’.

Last year the Society announced its intention to become more involved with the student community at CREXIV in Cambridge

We are pleased to announce that the following five individuals have now been selected to receive grants of £100 each towards their attendance at the conference. Each will be presenting a paper at the conference and we hope to see many of you there. A full schedule for the conference can be found here.

As usual, Society staff will be on hand during the conference at our book stall and attending the presentations offered in this year’s full timetable. Our Director, Dr Chris Naunton will also be giving the key note lecture on 12^th April (5.45-6.45pm), to which we would also like to extend invitation. Free tickets for this lecture can be booked through the EES events page here; we advise early booking to avoid disappointment!  We hope that all of you will consider registering to attend Current Research in Egyptology XV (2014) to hear new research and progress in the discipline, as well as updates about the current situation in Egypt.
