The UK’s leading Egyptological organisation, the Egypt Exploration Society, is looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised Office Manager to play a pivotal role within the team.

This is an exciting but demanding role in which the successful candidate will have proven experience of office administration. You will be proactive and able to manage your own time and prioritise effectively. You will be responsible for overseeing the London office administration, information, systems and the premises, while also supporting the Director and Board of Trustees, and will be comfortable dealing with EES members, contractors, and other members of the public. You will also maintain close contact with the Society’s Cairo Office to ensure systems and processes are applied consistently throughout the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation with a rich history which has recently undergone a series of changes to prepare it for the challenges ahead. The successful candidate will be working within a friendly, passionate and energetic small team and involved, to a greater or lesser extent, with all aspects of the business; they therefore must be a team player. They will enjoy a busy office environment and a varied and challenging working day, and will need to have experience working within an office and, ideally, an interest in ancient Egypt. As part of a small team, this position brings with it a high level of responsibility.

If you consider yourself to be an organised and enthusiastic team player with the ability to deal with multiple tasks then please apply directly.
