The beautiful Ricardo Caminos Memorial Library at the Society's London Offices, located at 3 Doughty Mews, will once again star (!) in a television documentary next week.

The programme, 'Find My Past', made by Lion Television, and presented by Chris Hollins, will tell the stories of descendants of Arthur Weigall, the fifth Earl of Carnarvon and the scientist Alfred Lucas, and how they are all connected by the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. Rather an appropriate film, in light of our upcoming Winter Study Day, Howard Carter: The Man Behind the Mask

Arthur Weigall (1880-1934), worked as an assistant to Flinders Petrie on the staff of the EEF in 1901, at Abydos. He went on to have a long and successful career in Egyptology, including many publications, and work for the Egyptian government, as Inspector-General of Antiquities between 1905 and 1914.

The programme will be shown on 'Yesterday' channel, on Tuesday 13 November at 9.00pm; we do hope you'll be able to watch and admire the library as the perfect setting for this genealogical sleuthing.
